DIGICARB 3:Thermal analyser
DIGICARB 3 is a microprocessor based digital instrument for the automatic thermal analysis of molten iron. It is designed for use with plug - in, fast response, Type 'K' Thermocouple sample cups.

The instrument is housed in a steel, dust - proof case which may be bench, panel or wall mounted.

AUTOMATIC FEATURES :

  • Cooling Curve validity check
  • Calculation of % C.E.L. (or C.E.V.), % C, % Si and delta T
  • Curve progress indication
  • Plateau detection
  • Metal temperature measurement

The instrument is programmed to check validity of the cooling curve and will reject poor readings, indicating the reason for rejection.
A numbering system indicates the State of progress through the cooling curve.
An integral printer allows a permanent record of each set of requirements plus time, date and %P.
The unique trend program enables a listing of the previous 40 sets of analysis to be printed.

An RS232/485 Serial Output port gives a download facility to a remote printer or computer, for storage/processing of results. A Windows 95/98 Download Disk is provided.
