DPP3 : RANGE OF DEPENDABLE PORTABLE PYROMETERS FOR ALL MOLTEN METAL TEMPERATURES
DPP3 is a battery powered instrument with a 4 digit, bright: Green or Red LED display. The standard 1.25 metre steel dip arm, holding the thermocouple or its extension lead is normally hard wired and mechanically clamped into the DPP. Low battery voltage, broken thermocouple and reversed polarity are all indicated on the display when the 'ON' button in the handle is pressed. DPP is available for use with Type 'B','K','N','R' or 'S' thermocouples: Degrees C or F.
DPP3 SS Siberian Specification:
A low working temperature version allows accurate measurements to be taken at ambient temperatures as low as minus 22 deg.C ( - 8 deg.F ) although the instrument will function down to - 38 deg.C ( - 36 deg. F).

DPP3 'K' may be supplied with a hard wired or plug-in swaged Marshall or KWIKTIP K-90 dip arm - Specify. DPP3 'N' is supplied with a swaged dip arm. DPP3 'B','R' & 'S' have arms with a connector fitted to accept plug- in expendable thermocouples. OPERATION:- Plug in the thermocouple to the dip arm, if expendable thermocouples are in use. Grip the handle, pressing the 'ON' switch: The ambient temperature will be displayed and the Green LED illuminates. Immerse the thermocouple tip in the metal. The Amber LED energize as te indicated temperature rises. Remove the probe from the melt when the Red LED energises. Peak temperature is displayed for 15 seconds. The instrument is then automatically switched off.
