KWIKTIP
K-90
is
a fast response plug-in Nickel Chromium/Nickel Aluminium
Type 'K' expendable thermocouple, designed specifically
for temperature measurement of
molten, non-ferrous metals up to 1350 deg C.
Kwiktip
with its fast response time of 10 seconds is ideal for taking
temperatures of metal 'in transit', in ladle or shank.
The
number of immersion per tip varies with the type of metal
and slag conditions: 10 per dips in Aluminium down to 3
dips per tip in phosphor bronzes is a realistic expectation.

Existing
instruments using type 'K' Thermocouples may be readily
adapted for use with KWIKTIP. Alternatively we can supply
a complete Kwiktip system based on DPP 'K', as illustrated,
or with panel mounted digital indicator.
Type
'K' connector assembly at the hot end of the dip arm consists
of a ceramic bodied socket with double glass wrapped type
'K' extension cable, encased in a cast iron holder: a rugged
heat resistant system.
