DPP 'K' may be supplied with a hard wired or plug-in swaged Marshall or KWIKTIP K-90 dip arm - Please specify. DPP 'N' is supplied with a swaged dip arm. DPP 'B','R' & 'S' have arms with a connector fitted to accept plug- in expendable thermocouples. OPERATION:- Plug in the correct type of thermocouple to the dip arm, if expendable thermocouples are in use. Grip the handle, pressing the 'ON' switch: The ambient temperature should be displayed. Immerse the thermocouple tip in the metal. Allow the reading to settle then remove from the melt. Peak temperature will be automatically displayed for 15 seconds after the 'ON' button is released. Note the reading. A reset button on top of the handle, may be pressed to delete the 'Held' reading.
